REJURAN® Polynucleotides

REJURAN® Polynucleotides
Pre & aftercare guide

Everything you need to know before your treatment and in the days and weeks that follow. Please read through before your appointment.

REJURAN® works by stimulating your skin's own capacity to repair and regenerate. How you prepare, and how you care for your skin afterwards, directly influences how well it responds. This guide sets out what we ask of you, and what you can expect in return.

In the days before

Preparing your skin for treatment

None of the steps below are complicated. They are simply things that give your skin the best possible starting point — and reduce the chance of unnecessary bruising or disruption on the day.

  • Stop blood-thinning medications 48 hours beforeAspirin, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory medications increase the likelihood of bruising. Please avoid these for at least 48 hours before your appointment unless they have been prescribed by your GP, in which case please let us know.

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforeAlcohol thins the blood and can increase bruising and post-treatment swelling. We ask that you avoid it for the 24 hours leading up to your appointment.

  • Pause retinoids and exfoliating acids 2–3 days beforeRetinoids (tretinoin, retinol) and AHAs or BHAs (glycolic, lactic, salicylic acid) can increase skin sensitivity. Please leave these off the treatment area for two to three days before your appointment.

  • Stay well hydrated in the days leading upHydrated skin genuinely responds better to polynucleotide therapy. Drinking well in the two to three days before your appointment is one of the simplest things you can do to support your results.

  • Avoid other facial treatments in the two weeks beforePlease do not have laser, microneedling, chemical peels or other injectable treatments in the two weeks prior to your REJURAN® appointment. If you are unsure, please ask.

Arriving for your appointment

  • Arrive with clean skin if possibleWe will cleanse the treatment area before we begin, but arriving with clean skin makes for a more comfortable start. You are welcome to remove makeup on arrival — we have everything you need.

  • Let us know if anything has changedIf you have had any illness, dental work, vaccination, new medication, or any other change in your health since you booked, please tell us before we begin. This is not about gatekeeping — it is about making sure we look after you properly.

  • You can always decide not to proceedYour consultation at the start of your appointment is a genuine conversation. If anything has changed, if you have further questions, or if you simply do not feel ready, you are always welcome to postpone. There is no obligation and no pressure.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding. REJURAN® is not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Please inform us if this applies to you — we will be glad to discuss alternative options or rebook you for a later date.
